Alarms / Alarm Group List
Introduction
Alarm groups are used to assign alarm triggers to points which have similar alarm criteria.
Alarm Group List
Clicking on the Alarm Group List menu command displays the Alarm Group List page. For a new NovaStar system, no alarm groups will appear on the Alarm Group List page. The following image displays the Alarm Group List page after an alarm group is selected.

The Alarm Group List page conforms to a layout similar to many data types which includes a list of data items. See List Features for more information detailing page navigation; adding, copying and deleting alarm groups; and modifying existing alarm groups.
Identification
The following properties are used to identify the alarm group.

Name | Alarm group name. Max: 100 characters. |
Description | Enter additional information describing alarm group. Max: 1000 characters. |
User Groups
The User groups table shows the user groups currently assigned to the alarm group. For more information, see the User Groups documentation.

Point List
The Point list table displays the points currently associated with the alarm group and can show details about each point.

Assign points to alarm groups
To add a new point using the Point List page, click the Add button.
To associated an existing point with this alarm group, a list of points is revealed when the Assign/Remove Points button is clicked as seen in the image below. Check/uncheck points to associate with this alarm group. Changes to the point list are only saved once the Save button is clicked at the bottom of the page.

Trigger List
The Trigger list displays the alarm triggers currently associated with the alarm group and can show details about each trigger.

Assign triggers to alarm groups
To add a new trigger using the Alarm Trigger page, click the Add button.
To assign an existing trigger, a list of triggers is revealed when the Assign/Remove Triggers button is clicked as seen in the image below. Check/uncheck triggers to associate with this alarm group. Changes to the trigger list are only saved once the Save button is clicked at the bottom of the page.
