Users / User Group List
Introduction
Clicking on the Users / User Groups menu displays the User Groups page. A new NovaStar system will display an empty User Group List.
Each user group is assigned a number that is used internally by the NovaStar system to control which database records are displayed for users assigned to groups. Only administrators can display records assigned to other user groups.
If a system has no user groups defined, all data will be visible to anyone with adequate priviledges. However, once a a single group has been defined, anything not assigned to that group will not be visible to anyone except administrators.

Navigation, Adding, Deleting, Modifying, and Copying User Groups

Assignments
When a user group must be assigned to multiple objects (several stations, several points, etc.), rather than navigating to each individual object and assigning the group, the assignment can be made through this section of User Group List.
Clicking the Add all button adds the currently selected user group to all objects in the list. Clicking the Remove all button removes the currently selected user group from all objects in the list.
User Groups Assignment (see full-size image)
To assign the currently selected user group to an individual object, while in edit mode, click the Assign/Remove tab (in this case Assign/Remove Stations) to display all the objects in a checkbox list. Check or uncheck the desired stations.

- Click the Edit button to enter edit mode,
- Open the User Groups tab by clicking the + icon if necessary,
- Click the + symbol on the Assign/Remove groups tab,
- Check/uncheck the box associated with the group to add/remove.
- Click Apply or Save at the bottom of the entity's page.
